The Business System Analyst will be a part of product team working on a leading-edge, commercial grade Contact Management Solution for the contact center applications market.
The successful candidate must have extensive expertise as a Systems Analyst or Systems Business Analyst. Will look for this position to work on contact center product definition, and transforming business requirements to technical specs for the development team. Ideal candidate should express comprehensive understanding of contact center business domain, including the latest call center-related technologies including VOIP, ACD, IVR, IPBX, Multimedia and Predictive Dialing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the project definition process. Apply analytic skills to the business requests and communicate these request on the development team in a clear and unambiguous manner
- Work closely with the development team;
- Produce high quality business requirement documents and functional specifications.
- Participate in all phases of the application development lifecycle.
- Review and provide input regarding product Architecture.
Must Have:
- Minimum 2 years of business analysis experience. Clarifying and translating business requirements into detailed functional requirements.
- Experience with identifying functional and non-functional requirements, writing business requirements document, use cases, and functional specifications (defining the detailed features, including data validation rules and mock-up screens).
- Strong business acumen and analytic skills.
- Proficiency in Visio and Word.
- Experience in full cycle of software project from conceptual design to installation and support.
Highly Desirable:
- Good knowledge of functional and technical aspects of call center and/or contact management systems.
- Experience in database design, ER-models, SQL.
- Knowledge of CASE tools, UML.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint 2003 and Wiki servers.
- Experience both in Microsoft (.NET) and Unix (Linux) platforms.
- Knowledge of open source way and experience in utilizing it in building commercial applications.
- Knowledge of .NET Remoting, Linux, Asterisk PBX, Design Patterns.
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies: RUP, XP, MSF, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent training and experience; Graduate degree preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
